Further your education, and advance your career. Benedictine University’s online RN to BSN program is designed to fit your work schedule and move you forward in the nursing field.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) reports that the BSN degree is essential for nurses seeking to move up the career ladder and provide a higher level of quality care.¹ The more advanced your education is, the better prepared you will be to give your patients the best care possible.

With your BSN, you will have access to employment opportunities including positions as a nurse case manager, nursing manager, clinical nurse manager and registered nurse supervisor, as well as other leadership roles. You will also be taking the next steps in your professional development to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care to your patients.

Program Highlights

  • Quick, Convenient, Affordable. Complete our RN to BSN online program in as little as 12 months*, entirely online, and at a competitive price of only $415 per credit hour. Students complete the BSN coursework at an estimated total tuition of $14,110 (based on completion of 34 credits).
  • Experienced Instructors. Work with instructors who have expertise in the field and who have been in your shoes. They, too, earned their degrees while holding a full-time nursing job and balancing the demands of a busy life. They understand your needs and will pass their insights on to you.
  • Real-World Coursework. Perform hands-on assignments that are relevant to the role of a nurse, with skills you can immediately put to use in daily care. The program’s clinical experiences will help you choose an expertise that suits your career goals.

Career Outlook

More nurses than ever are obtaining their bachelor's degree. The AACN reports on a 2019 study showing that 56% of RNs now hold a bachelor’s degree, up from 49% in 2010.2 A bachelor's degree equips nurses with skills crucial to keeping up with fast-moving innovations in the field. To work in magnet hospitals, which are recognized for nursing excellence and superior patient outcomes, nurses and nurse leaders must hold a baccalaureate or graduate degree.2
