More nurses than ever are obtaining their bachelor's degree. The AACN reports on a 2019 study showing that 56% of RNs now hold a bachelor’s degree, up from 49% in 2010.2 A bachelor's degree equips nurses with skills crucial to keeping up with fast-moving innovations in the field. To work in magnet hospitals, which are recognized for nursing excellence and superior patient outcomes, nurses and nurse leaders must hold a baccalaureate or graduate degree.2
At Benedictine, you will find the support you need through small cohort sizes and individualized faculty attention, courses that build upon each other, and a diverse student body that’s learning alongside you.
Benedictine University has designed the RN to BSN to fit the life of a busy working nurse. Many of our students are referred by nurses who graduated from the program and recommended their colleagues enroll, too.
Interested in becoming a nurse educator or nurse executive leader? RN to BSN graduates can move immediately into our Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program and waive two courses — accelerating your program a full semester (4 months) towards your graduate degree. Note that waiver criteria must be met and confirmed upon advisement.
*With continuous, full-time enrollment.
